The Yancheng leg of the competition came to a successful conclusion, with young players shining on the pitch
In this passionate and challenging summer, the Panyi Elite Cup·2024 Youth Football Championship (Yancheng leg) concluded triumphantly at the Yufeng Football Training Base in Dafeng, Yancheng, from July 20th to August 1st. The two-week intense competition not only witnessed the football dreams and sweat of 1,593 young players from 130 teams representing 64 clubs but also left behind 518 thrilling matches and over 3,100 exciting goal moments.
Stages transformed, passion escalated
During the first stage of five-a-side and eight-a-side matches, the young players showcased remarkable skills and teamwork. As the second stage of eleven-a-side games kicked off, the intensity soared even higher. Youth eleven-a-side tournaments are still relatively scarce in China, but Panyi Elite Cup has provided us with such a valuable platform, enabling passionate young footballers to showcase themselves on a broader stage, learn from each other, and grow together.
Champions crowned, international stage awaits
After fierce competition, the Yancheng team emerged victorious in the U13 age group, while Dongtai Coastal·Ambes U15 claimed the top spot in the U15 category with outstanding performances. These young players not only demonstrated remarkable football talents but also embodied the spirit of football through their sweat and perseverance.
Particularly noteworthy is the Best Scorer of the U13 age group, Dong Ye from the Yancheng team, who, for his exceptional performances, won a week-long free training camp at IMG Academy, a top US sports education brand. This is undoubtedly the best recognition of his individual efforts and opens a new chapter in his football career.
Strong local support, seamless event logistics
The Dafeng District of Yancheng paid close attention and offered significant support to this event. The personal inspection and affirmation of leaders injected immense momentum into the smooth operation of the competition. The high standards of the tournament and comprehensive logistical support made every participant feel at home. Special thanks go to the Dafeng District Government, Education and Sports Bureau, Public Security Bureau, Transportation Bureau, Food Safety Bureau, Health Commission, and other departments for their invaluable support in ensuring the success of the event!
Three hotels were arranged for the participating teams, offering shuttle buses, quality catering, comfortable accommodations, and comprehensive medical support. Drinking water during the matches was thoughtfully provided by the sponsor "JD Life+", ensuring that every player could compete at their best.
